The Retreat Venue

Travel to the island is via a 20-minute Kelleys Island Ferry Boat ride from Marblehead, Ohio. Please note rates do not include the ferry fee to and from the island. See Ferry Schedule

1:30 pm - 2:00 pm Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Exercises

Items to bring:

Comfortable clothing that you can move easily in. Plan to dress in layers as it is often breezy on the island. Also bring a light weight blanket and water bottle. Yoga mats, journals, and writing utensils will be provided.

Meet your Retreat Hosts

About your Yoga Retreat host, Stacy Notestine RN, IBCLC, RYT-200, CIMI, Reiki Master, and Holistic Wellness Coach.

Stacy is mom to 4 and Mimi to 2 little ones. She has been a registered nurse for 33 years working passionately with women and their children. Seeing how natural holistic modalities significantly impacted her life, she became a registered yoga teacher at the prestigious Yoga on High studio in Columbus, Ohio in 2017. She went on to complete the highest level as a Reiki Master later that same year. She has a certification in infant massage therapy and has completed 2 levels of craniosacral therapy. She most recently became certified as a holistic nurse wellness coach in 2023. Stacy was diagnosed with Colon cancer in the spring of 2023. After 2 surgeries and chemo, she is proud to be on the other side as a cancer survivor. She is passionate about sharing modalities for cancer screening and prevention. 

Stacy resides on Kelleys Island running her Columbus-based lactation private practice remotely. She feels blessed to have found a community that supports her passion for teaching and sharing the love of yoga, health, and wellness, which just magically happens to be on a beautiful island.

About your Retreat host, Dr. Lisa Skeens PhD, MSW, LISW

Lisa lives in Hilliard, Ohio with her husband and son. She currently has her own private practice in Dublin, Ohio and has 27 years of experience as a psychotherapist working with individuals, couples and families. Her areas of clinical expertise include treatment of Anxiety and Trauma disorders, Adult ADHD, Depressive Disorders, recovery from emotionally abusive relationships, hypnotherapy, guided imagery, and multicultural and bilingual therapy. Lisa is also a tenured professor at Ohio University in the Department of Social Work. 

Lisa enjoys blending her knowledge, practice, and research skills as a professor and a therapist and presents at many national and international conferences on diverse mental health topics.

  • This retreat is designed for the woman who desires to prioritize wellness, self care, and a healthy mind, body, spirit. She is open to do the work to rediscover herself to create a positive mindset through traditional and holistic strategies/practices that will be taught during the retreat. 

  • Absolutely not! Attendees do not need to have any experience with yoga or meditation. The practices will be applicable to all levels. Yoga mats will be provided. Chairs will also be available if you are unable to get up and down off the ground.
